How does the quality of the takeoff surface affect the initial stability of the DJI Flip?

Mensaje por AdminForo »

How does the quality of the takeoff surface affect the initial stability of the DJI Flip: The surface from which the DJI Flip takes off directly influences the initial stability of the drone, as the sensors below use visual and ultrasonic references to fix its position and relative altitude.

If the drone takes off from a surface with defined textures and contrasting colors, its vision sensors can identify reference points more accurately, which improves initial stability. In contrast, shiny, uniform or reflective surfaces can make initial calibration of the sensors more difficult.

On uneven terrain, it is recommended to use a flat takeoff platform to ensure that the drone's legs are level when starting the motors. Taking off from tall grass, sand or gravel can generate vibrations that momentarily affect the calibration of the stabilization sensors.

Thanks to its automatic compensation system, DJI Flip adjusts its stability during the initial ascent, but choosing an optimal surface improves sensor accuracy and reduces the risk of unexpected displacement after takeoff.
